Why do people say Airbus aircraft are “French” when the parts are built in other countries?

What I do not understand is why people think Airbus is “Fran?” When the parties are from outside the European? Ens and of soci t? S United States and Asia. . . do not they know that the final assembly is pr? seen in France (Tolouse), but it’s really a global effort to build each jet? This is the m? Me something here in the U.S. with Boeing, in particular the 747-400, the pi? Those from other countries and is the final assembly plant? Everett, Washington. . .
